Day 890: Friday Mornin Feedin Frenzy & Fun (Before & After)

Me and the Bleu woke the Mom up early this mornin, wif the excitement that we could no longer conceal... on a counta we knew The Herd was just on the other side of our bedroom door!
It's not yet quite daylight, but the sky is beautiful and clear... and the temperature is brisk and cold!
Best fing about early mornins in the country is sniffin all the critters what have passed this way over night. We have seen dozens of deer... and after dark last night, they were snortin at us as we took our "last call"!
I could stay out here all mornin... or until my tummy begins to growl!

I fink there is not much better inside place than the Kitchen at Campo Blanco. I mean... It is good INSIDE sniffin!!!
Add the Frenzy, and it is one hip and excitin place to be... especially this time of day!
Today our Kitchen is under the direction of Master Chef Tom... of Mister T Day Spa fame... and he is also the most special uncle EVER... to me and the Bleu!
No pitchers of the actual feed bowl dispersal, but I'll tell you... We all enjoyed it, and made quick work of cleanin the bowls! Then we were out for After Tasty Breakfast Foods Constitutional!

The Bleu utilizes the time to hone his 'lookin cute' skills...

I, on the other paw, am on a business trip.
The Mom says it's kinda hard to photograph us when we are leashed up, so I frow her a tiny bone by turnin my head for the pitcher.
Enough. Let's go!
I LOVE bein here, but every chance I get... I check out the trolley. If it is to depart, I want to make sure I have my ticket handy. Just sayin.
Beyond the cooperative head turn a minute ago, I am really not in the mood for the flashy beast... so I set about duckin my head and foilin the shots...
There is a delay between the setup and actual capture, and I am a master at dodgin the full face shot... so the Mom is frilled when she spin us in a wide circle wif hope to catch a side glance!
The Bleu is usually pretty cooperative wif the pitchers, so long as it only involves his own self... His only photogenic fault is that the pitcher must be framed perfectly in order to fit Big Boy in his entirety. Just sayin.
And I guess I had a lapse in my awareness on a counta the Mom zipped around in front of me for this shot!
It's ok... we're on our way back to the warmf of the inside. I hear talk of roasted bird and other good eats, as well as naps and a long walk! It's hard to say what I'm lookin forward to more!

Wishin you a Golden Black Friday!!!

Day 95: The Power Of The Cheeto!

Took a nap by cool airs to detect if the carbon man detector was gonna speak to me again.

Spent some time out front and watched a squirrel come down the tree and frolick in the grasses not ten feet away from me. Thought he must be crazy so I "leaved it".

Visited with Aunt Monica and Uncle Oscar, and that was fun. Aunt Monica shared her cheetos wif me and Uncle Oscar held my string while the mail lady talked to the Mom.

Which reminds me of something I find curious... the mail lady is terrified of sweet ole Luke. I won't take it personally as she seems like a nice woman and I never even ever barked at her. Gotta assume somebody done her wrong one day...

Aunt Dav and Uncle Benjy talked the Mom in off the proverbial ledge, and then we went on a long and fruitful (wink) walk.

Our loud thing is working hard to drown out ever body else's loud thing and cool airs are blowin.

The sounds bother me a lot, so I was happy journaling in the bunker on the cool floors... but the Mom brought in a bag of cheetos. Suddenly the big bed seems most inviting!

Day 88: Kinda Love The Outdoor Lifestyle Again!

It's late and we just got back from Aunt Monica's and Uncle Oscar's. All my friends were there, and I even made some new ones.

Startin to really love livin (mostly) outside again... but that's prolly cause the peoples are outside wif me!

Before we went over there, I had to wrestle the windows shut and locked. And by wrestle, I mean that I followed the Mom from room to room and watched her use broot force to close em and then holding a flash light in her mouf, WD40 in one hand and a wrench in the other... try to get the lock back in place...

Tomorrow's her birfday and cause I can't check my poll, got no transport or other resource, decided I'm gonna give her the thing I treasure the most at this moment...

Day 87 / Day 88 Night Blends With Morning

Uncle James brought the Mom some Meskin beer, and since I'm her drinkin partner, she set me up with a stainless steel bowl and Ozarka waters... and we parked ourselves in the driveway to enjoy the cool airs.

Uncle Oscar came over to join us and later my various nay-bor-hood kin (including Aunts Michelle and Monica and Uncles Jeff and Chuy, Aunt Veronica and Cousin Gabby). I was quite sociable ceptin canine competition.

Fact one is... Luke likes all the peoples to himself.

Fact two is... Uncle Oscar rocks. He is way good to me, and I like him for myself, thank you.

Simple formula: Pork rinds (didn't know what they were till tonight) + Pecans = Love.

Day 87: Insult To Injury!

Slept like a pup last night and woke up to a clap of thunder that sent me straight to the bunker to dig for my pal Dino! This morning is way worse than Ike ever thought a bout bein!

The Mom took these pictures as she was fightin the waters comin thru the back door. And Uncle Oscar and Aunt Monica just checked on us.

Rain's slacked a little and Mom's out of doors doing damage control. I'm in of doors not likin this not one little bit.

Day 86: Life In The Front Yard

Got me a sweet new lobster I call Ike. And I chewed hell outta him like he did my yard.

Been out back on a leash... just ain't the same as free roam.

Took me a good sweet poop in a yard bout a block and a half from here. Musta made the Mom proud, cause she bagged it and brought it home!

I had my regular dinners by lantern and the Mom had a ham sammich cross the street with Uncle Oscar and Aunt Monica. She's home now and to bed as she's tard and so am I.

Day 86: Dark Loud Night

And I can't blog, but if I could, I'd tell you this...
  1. Went to sleep last night like any other night ceptin left the tv on. We'll hereafter call that one the colorful tv. I put Mom to bed and found me a great place under the cool air jet stream.
  2. Sounds of not sure what picked up round what I'm told was 1am, and the Mom moved to a pallet on the flor near me.
  3. Colorful tv began flickerin and when it eventually went quiet, the Mom hustled out the bat-tree operated camp tv and we resumed our "rest".
  4. Noises picked up and so did the volume of the tv, but I was doing my best to doze right through till...
  5. 3am. Big thunderous boom, and I ain't can't lie... I went berzerk. Tie-Pay seemed like the best place to be for that moment and I began diggin'. The Mom dressed me in my cape and I followed her into the big bafroom to take my pill pocket willingly and continue to dig.
  6. Not feeling much like a super hero at that particular moment, so I was happy when she positioned her pallet and her body between me and the door to the hall. She positioned one bat-tree operated fan on me and one in the hall directed toward her. She also placed the camp tv in the hall. [Heard her say later she was drowning out the sounds as much as tracking the storm... but thank you KHOU, Channel 11!].
  7. Poop hit the house all night, but as the pill pocket took effect, I grew less and less concerned. I moved once to get behind the fan, and a second time when the Mom went round the house to check for water risin and fallin and any other sorta damage... I moved onto her pallet!
  8. She returned and squeezed in beside me, my back to her belly, between the tub and the wall... and I thought that's how we shoulda been all night!
  9. We "rested" a bit till we was startled by a bang on the door, and it was Uncle Oscar, checking to see if we was ok. Me and the Mom was peerin at him through the cloudiness of the storm door, and he told us that the tree hit our house. And that's when I realized that this Ike feller was worser than the cats he brung with him.
