Day 904: Friday Featurin Fun, Fresh-Hold, Floppin And Flippin, Forty Winks... And A Big Secret!

FUN
Friday... My Favorite! And today was double my favorite on a counta we share The Traditional Friday Family Lunch wif my the Aunt Karen! How Fun!!!
It was a busy afternoon, and I mostly stayed inside wif the women folk... but I did enjoy a few swings frew the back yard!
I kept checkin the tree for activity, but there was far more excitin fings goin on INside than OUT!

FRESH-HOLD
So I was quick to implore...
"Please to let us go in of doors. Please."
The Bleu open wide...
And implore a little louder!!!
And I frow this in for the ladies...
who enjoy a little manly yet extremely cute
fur and floof!

FLOPPIN
Tis The Season of The Little Bed!
One of my most favorite fings about the lower than normal temperatures we've had this week... is curlin up in the little bed. And here I am, Wednesday Night [Day 902]: Souf Little Bed.

Wednesday Night [Day 902]: The Bleu in the East Little Bed.

FLIPPIN
We flipped and flopped... again.
Wednesday Night [Day 902]: Me in the East Little Bed.

Wednesday Night [Day 902]: The Bleu in the Souf Little Bed.

FORTY WINKS
My the Aunt Karen has left the household, and I am all ready missin her! She holds a special place in my heart for SO many reasons...

Not the least of which, she take me shoppin to buy this fabulous gift for my the Mom's mmf Birfday!!!
Dinosaur Wif Egg Babies.
I fink all you the Moms can agree...
There is no more perfect gift!
The Bleu, he has settled into the East Litttle Bed.
He's pretty cute...
Even for a brother.
The Bleu may seem innocent...
But Big Boy knows how to work it.

A BIG SECRET
The Mom is shuttin fings down round here. And as CHS (Chief Household Supervisor) I am watchin ever move. I know the secret, but my lips are sealed! After all, I'm a stand-up, loyal kind of boy!
That's not to say I'm above frowin a big pity party for the Santa, if he's readin... I mean, there might be a basket FULL of toys right there, but...
THAT BASKET came wif the Bleu, as part of his trousseau, and so technically it and said contents, for all Santa-like purposes is not mine [mine mine]. And so I fink I might be in need and also deservin a new stuffy [or 2 or 3 or 40].  Just sayin.
Shhhhhhh... No need to mention this to the Bleu...
Just sayin.
I love ever single day. I do. Give me an EXTRAORDINARY day like today, and I'm excited, frilled and ultimately... completely relaxed and satisfied. And as I rest my eyes, I count my blessins... and say my prayers! And I close by wishin you...

Merry Christmas and Happy Howlidays...

Day 872: Treatment Day 3 In The History Books!

In case you wonder how I'm feelin... Here is me about fifteen seconds after I got home, as I chase a squirrel across the yard and leave the Bleu in my proverbial dust! Just sayin.

And to commemorate the occasion, my the Mom was on a roll of photographic brilliance... wif most of the pitchers dark and/or blurry!

Flip on your light switch, and I fink you can see that I'm still in my harness. [My the Mom doesn't use my collar for any fing more than decoration since my froat has raised issues].

If you could read the one fing on my mind in this pitcher, it would be: FEED ME!!!
And gosh you're good, on a counta I was served the most delicious half order of dinner foods ever known to a golden retriever. I gobbled them up. They had no chance of escapin. No, none whatsoever.

And I also foroughly enjoyed an inch of the Miracle Waters. And now here's...

Me and the Bleu
In A Flurry
Of the Blurry!

Only fing you can appreciate is my silky hairs...
The Bleu says he's happy I'm home.
Really.
He is.
It's so nice to be home. I'm not even jokin... To be able to lay down here or there, to be shmugglin or to be restin independently... so many variables, so many choices. And that's what I love about home!
Of course, there is also business to tend to... and this blog post is job one! Just sayin.
Most times I paw my own posts... but I fink on Treatment Days, a Sweet Boy should be able to lean on a secretarial assistant (in this case and aka the Mom)!
Update: The Sweet Sophie's surgery went well, and she will be reunited with her family as soon as possible tomorrow. Fank you for your prayers and well wishes!!!

Day 871: Sunday On The Porch Wif Wishes

We have been blessed wif the gorgeous weather... cool airs, blue skies and bright sunshine... and I am in constant indecision on which side of the door I prefer...
I know You, My Dear Friends, are probably growin tired of my daily posts... same pitchers, different day. I have to tell you, though... I love reignin over my territory. I love all that is mine. And I am grateful for the each and ever day!
Here I come from around the corner, checkin out the SSE (squirrel side escape)!
On my way to checkin out the "big" yard. Time to check the squirrel spoils... and a bit surprised by the Pupperazzi. Just sayin.
Headin in to home.
Surveyin My Territory.
Ready to enjoy the in of doors.
Yesssss.... Nowwwwwww.

Now there's a lot more of today that I would like to share wif the you... but Google has informed me that I have used up all of the free storage space they are willin to give me... and even though I busted my piggy bank open to buy more space, it will be 24 hours before I get it!!!

And since I have A MAJOR WISH to share wif the you... I hijacked my brother, the Bleu's blog for a special request... and usin his bandwidf, I'm able to share this...

Meet The Very Sweet Sophie!!!

Sophie recently tore her ACL and miniscus and will be having surgery tomorrow, Monday... so please please PLEASE to keep this Gorgeous Girl in your Foughts and Prayers!!!

Tomorrow is also Treatment Day 3 for me, and I am in complete denial about whether breakfast will be served tomorrow... And I'm pretty sure that the Sophie is right there wif me!

Day 851: Team Luke Wif My Own Button And Pedal To The Metal!

Busy days these days... This mornin started wif a trolley ride on a empty tummy  to what I was convinced would be LePeep, or at the very least... IHOP, so I was not amused when we deboarded at the Doctor's Office!
My disappointment was short lived, however, when all the nice folks started oohin and ahhhhin over the me. They held me over and tested me on a number of subjects. I passed some wif the flyin colors and didn't do so well in others (results to come later), but I know this... I helped my the Mom make the right decision on who to manage and lead the charge on my treatment! Just sayin. [More on that later!]

And speakin of leadin the charge, I need to fank my good friends, Scout and Freyja for their foughtful blog post and for this swell button!
I hope you will join my Team, pawticipate in my Love Protocol, help me fight the good fight... and display my swell button, if you are so inclined!

Heart felt fanks also to the beautiful, pedal to the metal Miss Khyra and my good good friends, The Thundering Herd (how it's spelled, not pronounced) for their foughtful blog posts, as well as their support ever day... accelerated to overdrive durin these days of trial!

I have so SO MANY DEAR FRIENDS TO FANK... and I would name you each individually... but I spent the day wif my Aunt Isfesia, and boy did she make me sweepy... Nite nite!

Day 849: The Story

Well, well, well...It has been a while since I have been here to share my foughts and feelins and the whatnot... It's been a busy and difficult few weeks: I have been workin hard to feel better. Me and the Mom have been busy seein people and talkin about fings. The Mom has been hoverin over me like crazy. And the Bleu has been rambuctious, rebellious and an all round 'bad boy' in a way that makes me proud and the Mom sigh.

I will begin wif the good news. I am feelin much better... like my old self. And I'm happy!

And now for the story:

Days 830 - 833. Monday-Thursday. I saw the Dr. Mark on Day 825 Wednesday and was put on aunty biotics for a sinus infection... along wif the Love Protocol adminstered by the Mom (what is more intense hoverin than even normal). We were hopeful on a counta one day I would feel better, but then the next... I would not. The Mom took notes on all of my actions and inactions, ever sound, ever breaf, ever ever fing.

Day 834. Friday. Me, the Mom and the Dr. Mark were in agreement that an exploratory procedure was in order to figure out how to help me feel better, so we planned that for Day 837.

Day 835 - 836. Saturday-Sunday. I didn't feel good, but the best and also the worst part was the Love Protocol aka the hoverin Mom. Just sayin.

Day 837. Monday. I had an exploratory procedure that turned into radical surgery to remove a growf from my froat. Sadly, the Mom's premonition was true. After a long conversation wif my the Dr. Mark, we knew that it was very likely not goin to be good, but breathin and swallerin was so much easier! I was restless and uncomfy overnight... and so was the Mom. The LP (Love Protocol) was in overdrive.

Day 838 - 839am. Tuesday-Wednesday. My froat hurt. But the LP made it just a little better. Just sayin.
[Photo taken Day 839. The cone belongs to the Bleu!]

Day 839pm. Wednesday 6pm to be exact. Dr. Mark received the results, did some local research... and called the Mom. It was the news he had prepared us for...: malignant melanoma. The Mom turned inward to the me and the LP.

Day 840 - 843. Thursday-Sunday. Oncology Appointment #1 was scheduled for Monday. And the Love Protocol mounts!

Day 844. Monday. My dear, sweet (the Mom's adjectives, not mine on a counta they are SO not dudely) Uncle Tom... came over bright and early to take us to Appointment 1. It was a little brutal... so Oncology Appointment 2 was made for Thursday, and the Love Protocol escalates, as does the research for holistic approaches to treatment...

Day 845 - 846. Tuesday-Wednesday. I am off all of the aunty biotics and pain meds, and I am startin to trot outside, chase squirrels, root for buried pecans and all in all, nap a little less. I'm even kinda enjoyin the LP a little more!

Day 847. Thursday. My dear, sweet (MY words this time on a counta he's THE UNCLE) Uncle Tom came over again to pick us up for Appointment 2. Wif the exception of the brief nap I took durin the serious part of the conversation... I had a blast! Even the way home was fun, and I enjoyed a brief stop by the Casa De Herd!

Day 848: Friday. Decisions have been made, appointments scheduled, and we are committed to a combination of conventional and holistic treatments and ferapies.
So that's the story. And now, as much as I hate to ask for help... I need it. Please keep me in your foughts and prayers. Please. I believe in that sort of fing... you know, The Power of the Paw!

And there's one other thing I need to ask... Please to not share a negative story wif me, on a counta the Mom reads this stuff. Me and the Mom are boaf fighters, but I fink the Old Gal is feelin a bit fragile these days. She real strong on the out side, but I know her like no body else... and she is hurtin. So please to share your postive energy and encouragement! We need and appreciate it more than you could ever know!

By the way, my Aunt Melanie has proclaimed my friends and family "Team Luke"  (has a nice ring to it, don't you fink?). And I would love you to join my team and the Love Protocol!
