Day 887: Busy-Ness

Rare is the day when we are too busy to take pitchers, but today has been action packed! And in keepin wif the blurry pheme of yesterday, here is me in a hurry to come in for the dinner foods. Note my sweet tongue!

Some fing is definitely up round here on a counta my the Mom is hustlin round the kitchen mixin this and rubbin that, pullin pans outta the cabinets and missed-elaneous whatnot.

Please know that I mean this wif all due respect[?]... but my the Mom is NOT a cook!!! So as I watch all the commotion wif her bakin this and cookin that, I just feel like God knows she needs my help!!!

Fact that I smell bacon bacon Bacon BACON means that she needs REAL help. And as hard as I've tried to dance between the Mom and the cooktop... she has requested even harder that I move!

Fine. Here I am in the hall. I am still a matter of two feet from the kitchen. And the first morsel or bit I hear drop to the floor... I'm there!

My the Cousin John just came by to rub my sweet head [and ok, the Bleu's teu] and visit for a while. He brought in a duffle bag, and left it in that other room wif a bed. I guess he's comin back on a counta the Mom gave him a key!

This MUST be a piece to the Surprise puzzle!!! Either the Mom is preparin the Fanksgivin foods for her favorite [two legged] nephew, or... like some times in the past, my Cousin John is takin a break from the apartment livin and stretchin out at our house! Odd fing is, and I don't know why... but we usually leave so he can stretch out into the whole house! What is up wif that???! I guess we just wait and see what tomorrow brings...

Until then, you can find me somewhere between the peanut butter cookie (from scratch) aroma and cooked bacon smell in the kitchen! There are other olfactory delights, but they are not nearly so seductive!


Happy Day Before The Day Before Fanksgivin! I am makin my Fankful list... and when I reflect on it, I realize I am one Lucky Luke... And my Friends are at the top of my list!!!


My the Mom finks she is even luckier, on a counta she has the me and also the Bleu... AND all of Our Wonderful and Supportive Friends! She say she feel blessed. For sure. 

Day 794: Various And Sundry Sunday [And Two Days Precedin]

It is fun to sit for a portrait,
but it is even funner when the original artwork arrives!

You all know that I am a big fan of Mike McCartney.

He understands me. He really understands me!

Of course I was curious what the Mom was photographin in the gift chair.

And while she was tryin to frame a shot of me respectfully admirin...

I zoomed in for a sniff!

The Mom screeched... 

"Don't touch art wif your snooter!"

I backed off and then I pouted.

The Luke is a very sensitive boy.

And I do not like it when I guess the wrong fing to do.

I take criticism to heart, and 

I like that the Mom will all ways redirect my pout in a positive way.

That way I can shake it off!

Yesterday, the Mom took some time away from The Bleu Infirmary

and also from the Factory Work, and she headed to the

GRRH Meet N Greet at Orvis Westheimer!

Now, I do not have pitchers of our snow cone eatin extravaganza last night... 

but it was definitely worfy of the photographic documentation!

Guess I'll have to send the Mom off wif the Aunt Susan and Uncle Mike

again real soon to fetch me, Bleu and the Sammy 

some more shaved ice wif the tasty flavor!!!

The Bleu, by the way, is Bleu again today!

Big Boy's hair ball has come to pass,

and the bounce in his step has returned!

He is not 100% in the digestive department.

But Big Boy is not green any longer,

but more like a shade of aqua.

I will close wif a Mutant Leaf update!

And as an aside...

The Mom has been sittin here by me sayin 

"You gotta tell your friends about all your mischievous antics this weekend.

You are goin to be the end of me, Luke!"

Then I flash her this smile.

And the Mom say

"O The Luke, I love you. 

I do not know what I would do wifout the you. 

You give my life purpose and make me complete. 

You are my most favoritest of sons."

I fink that's what I hear her say, but

I might have made some of that up. 

I forget. Just sayin.

Day 765: The Luke At The Dog Show!

That fun weekend is here... the Reliant Park World Series of Dog Shows... and I, the Luke, have am honored to be there!!! You probably recognize me... the handsome fellow, holdin up the letter 'H' on the 'GRRH' banner!

I cannot believe these nice folks aren't facin TOWARD the banner!

My the Mom is one of THOSE kinds of the Moms, so please to pardon the mulititude of more pitchers...

And you all know my pal, the Buddy... Sweetheart to all the ladies!

And of course, then there's the me... need I say more?

Off the wall and back in the boof... here is the SnowBear, GRRH alum, wif the softest fur you have ever felt. He is a dashinly handsome boy wif about a five hour time limit on your sweet lovin. I mean, that Sweet Boy was takin it all in. Just sayin.

And I know you remember my the Cousin Dylan, of "The Herd". His brother, the Buddy, was featured on the banner, but Dylan took in all the shnoofins and pettins! 

The Mom sat down for a while and in so doin, was greeted by this nice fellow, name of Max... and well, you know what the Mom was finkin...

And now for the real reason the Mom was at the Dog Show for the second day in a row... so me and my brother, the Bleu, could "sit" for our annual portrait by Mike McCartney!

How in the world do you fink he will capture our personalities this year???

Well, let's see... I am monitorin wind speed and direction. Check. I've got my rain gauge, barometer and laptop... and I'm busy busy busy. Check.

And let's see, what is the Bleu doin? He is sniffin flowers while the butterflies dance round his back... and he's daydreamin of his girlfriend, the Porter... Check!

And of course, the Comet is watchin over us all. Very fittin. Very comfortin.

Day 457: Fun Birfday Stuffs

So one week ago today on what was few days before the Mom's humongous birfday... she left outta here to go meet my (and ok, the Bleu's) very special Aunt Dav. I was none to happy bout her leavin, but just look what she brought back!

Now, please understand how hard it was on the Luke to keep big day a secret... but because the Mom is not her comfiest when in lime of the light, I did.

So now boaf proverbial cat and also really swell presents is outta this bag! It is a LOT and I check it out!

[And now I must ask you for your code of the silence, on a counta the Mom say I absolutely cannot share these next few pitchers wif the you... cause the need to be folded laundry is in the "laundry chair"... so I beg you, shhhhhhhh...]

And here come my partner in the investigation... the Bleu! He wonder teu... what is all stuff in big bag???

And now it has beed laid out, and we continue our forough investigation.

And know what it is??? It is all manner of fun fings wif me and the Bleu's caricature on it! Here it is on tote bag!

But it is also on a mouse pad, tea towel, pillow case and a t-shirt! See??? It look just like original drawin what the Mom frame today!

My Aunt Dav, in addition to bein my special Aunt... she also be most specialest of sister to the Mom. My the Mom say they go way back a bout ahem years and that is a lot. And I say that to say this... she all ways know how to make the Mom feel good and happy! Mine and the Mom's and also the Bleu's fanks to the Aunt Dav... your gift could notta been any more perfect!

Now... you might fink that is all that was in bag wif the cat... but it is not! I save coolest fing for another very important post! For now I just say it is sumfin that me and the Mom have wanted very much for bout a year and a week... Fank you, Uncle Benj!

P.S. Part of cat bein out of bag is the Mom wore her new t-shirt to the GRRH Meet-n-Greet today. And I (and ok, the Bleu) was a hit on a counta ever body love the shirt! I am happy to hear it on a counta now my Christmas shoppin is now one stop!

Day 397: Best OF Show

My the Mom had me and the Bleu carry-catured at the Dog Show by renowned artist Mike McCartney! And here is Mike after he was done!

We are all very excited about the outcome what Mike conjured up and drew into fruition! I think he capture spirit of the Luke and also the Bleu, of course... and also our respective passions what are bloggin and sticks!

Neatest thing is how he weave our personality in and also add fun surprises!

4. And last but certainly not least... Gotta love that Mike a big fan of movie what share my name of Cool Hand Luke, on a counta he pitcher me here eatin hard boiled eggs! And if you never saw the movie, you need find copy quick on a counta it reel good! Just sayin!

Mike is real nice fellow and talented beyond belief. He is takin the image back wif him to he studio to scan in so we can order some nice things for our self. He will send original back to us soon so we can hang in prominent spot in our a bode as a reeminder how we can't wait to do it again real soon!
