Day 715: Fankful Friday

I am fankful for many fings... among em are river splashes, road hikes and roughin it at Campo Blanco on the Ralph Lauren sheets and binky. I look good on em just sayin.

NOT among em is the Mom workin a full day Friday and projected 60 hour weeks frew September... I do not know how I will survive but I will try on a counta at least she can work from home nights and weekends... Sigh.


And because I do not want to fink about it... I would instead like to express long overdue gratitude for some wonderful recognition I have received!  It does so very much feel good to know that maybe you have brought a smile to someone's face, like so many of you bring to mine!

I'm just a Sweet Boy [label by the Mom] who keep a journal on the web, so I was pretty surprised to receive this correspondence...

My the Mom exchange very foughtful emails wif this very kind person... And now she explain to me why me and the Bleu don't have Dogster pages... on a counta the Comet was so active there. I explain to the Bleu that the Mom gets sad bout certain fings... but she's got me and ok, also the him to remind her what life's all a bout!


It's a bout all manner of fings what make us happy, and bloggin is a biggy! So when I receive such a special award like...the Versatile Blogger: Poems. Stories. Messages. Essays. ... I am more than honored!

1. O yeah. I'm a driven river Golden wif a passion for the water. Uh huh... kinda even surprised my own self!

5. As a rescue boy, I grow, emotionally, a tidbit each and every single day. This is Day 715... and in about last forty days or so, I have started sweepin on my back in the big bed. Total trust. Total Heaven. Givin it up. Just sayin.
6. I only pretend to be hard of hearin some times when my name is called. Shhhhhh... don't tell the Mom!
7. I love just about ever single fing there is about life, includin all my wonderful friends. I love you all!!!

Day 700: 700 Fings I Love... And Also Today's Update

Happy 700f Day!!!

Today's Update

The Mom come home all tired but also perky today. And first fing what happen is we have surprise note in the mailbox! I know it is for the me on a counta I can read the envelope... See?

And wif just one shnoof, I conclude... It is from the Dory!!! Hey the Bleu, come shnoof!

Big Boy come a runnin on a counta he kinda got the sweets for the Dory cause she is so pretty and also spunky and now he all enamored on a counta... she send the pretty card!

Me and the Bleu are beggin the Mom "open up card, let us read!" when freakish sunshine come frew the clerestory window and make for wierd pitcher. Just sayin but I digress.

Here is the front of the pretty card, all monogrammed and all, I am jealous but also really frilled to receive it!

And I must tell you, the Dory has excellent pengirlship. And I just love her printed signature!!!

Me and the Bleu [and also the Mom, of course] treasure this card... and more than that, we treasure the Friendship! Just sayin!!!

And speakin of the Mom... She come home kinda like the Mom on a mission...

We do some outside stuff... the usual and also the stuff we do when Lawn Dude is here, on a counta he is! 

I make mental note of my bloomin night cereus... and maybe tonight is the night! Woohoo!

But then I quickly return my foughts and followins to the Mom who is gatherin and assemblin and stuffin fings into bags and also boxes... and such fings include our foods canister and snacks and such what are packed neatly in one of our food cartons which the Mom has placed by the door to the trolley.

I may not be keepin an eye on the box(es)... but I am for a fact keepin an eye on the Mom!

Day 668: May I Have A Roll Please...!

Ok, DRUM roll is not what I was askin for, but I guess it is fittin on a counta it is time to announce the winners of this fabulous Global Event!

And I do believe we are ALL winnners, on a counta what fun it has been to meet new folks. I have enjoyed ever single minute of it... well, except for today did not turn out quite like I had planned.

You see, we have had day of funderstorms today. My mood has swung between anxiety and exhaustion, and I have spent the day either in the bunker or hidin behind my first line of storm defense... The Bleu!

Ever time I start to Spin-the-Bleu, it start funderin again, and I have to retreat to the bunker. [Real time radar below. It not rainin here but I can sure hear the funder!]

And Big Boy is too exhausted (from stearin clear of the panic + funeral music all afternoon) to spin on he own... so we go wif Random Number Generator. It not nearly as fun as spinnin the Bleu... but yeu have to make deu on funderstorm days, I beg you please understand!

Day 652: Free Fur All Friday

Those of you who know me know that in the Book of Luke... the most delicious (Insert the Mom's adjective here: effective) treat ever is the Berry Treat.

And so part of our prize package is a bag of your very own tasty treats, as well as reasons to sit-shake-high five-down-roll over / spit pecan out / stop doin what you're doin and come in from outside / take a really nice photo lookin like you really love your the Mom (or other photo taker as your case may be).

I cannot believe that the Nutro people do not contact me... on a counta I have turned countless dogs into addicts (fanks to the Aunt Karen... who got me strung out on these tasty nuggets at Easter last year!!!) and I would make the very best spokes dog!!!

Speakin of swappin the Pecans for the Berry Treats... Well, wait a minute. I should preface this by sayin out loud what we all been sayin in private if not just in our own heads....

My the Mom is... sweet. She is kind. She loves me and the Bleu like nobody's business. She put the us firty million light years before the herself. And if she ever get upset wif us for five seconds, she will spend five fousand hours makin it up to us (on a counta we are sensitive)...

But she is a little nutty and she diary and document some of the nuttiest fings. And now I present Exhibit "Mar 28 - 31":

Yep, might be little hard to see in pitcher... but them is the Luke's daily bounty for last four days of March! Just sayin.

And here I am out lookin for some more. Grassy part of yard yield bout twenty to twenty-five percent of buried pecans.

Landscape bed what is newly mulched has high yield, on a counta it has all ways offered "cover" for the squirrel burial practices.

And since the Mom is not fond of the dirt on my chin... and therefore she does discourage the Luke dis-burial practices... I change subject!

Day 651: Global Animal Blogging Event

Hello. I am the Luke. And this is Day 651 of my Second Life. (No April Fool joke here, this is all the troof!).

I am The Very Big Cheese in my Forever Family (also comprised of my the Mom and my adopted brother, the Bleu) and I have a LOT to say bout a LOT of fings! Mostly though... I just live life wif the gusto! I am happy and excited bout life! Little fings are as fun for me as the big fings!

One most wonderful fing bout my blogger friends... is how many more wonderful friends I make ever single day. And one friend I have come to know in past few days is the ever-so-cutey Twinkie!

And she has organized the First Annual Global Animal Blogging Event... as a way for all of us... readers and writers... to make new friends all round the world!


Me and the Bleu will be participatin in this special event  which takes place April 1 - April 18. And here's the best part... TEU (2) very special prizes (please see Prize Update below!!!) will be awarded!
