Day 891: Campo Blanco Commemerative Photos and Preparin For Our Final Hike
As is tradition, we all head outside to enjoy more of the fresh airs and celebrate our time together!
You might fink it is easy to gather all the Campers out of doors at one time...
But not so much... And here I am, lookin in to see what is the delay wif some our stragglers. Turns out... the holdup is due to the Counselors and not the Campers! Just sayin.
The effort to take a group pitcher was completely foiled by... ummmm... It was uhhhh... and act of God, I mean... Mother Nature. Ok... It was my fault, along wif the Bleu's... For some reason, neither of us could stop eatin dirt, acorns and deer poop long enough to face the camera.
There. I said it. Can we please move on??? I am feelin the shame all ready! Just sayin.
So... No Campo Blanco Session (nor any other gatherin, for that matter) is complete wifout a pitcher of the happy couple... The Bleu and his Sweet Porter!

The Mom made the comment that as much as they love each other, they are actin like they don't even know each other...
And then we started to suspect that they are secretly married! (hahahahahahahahaha).
And Dakota, who takes great pride in walkin his own self!!!
Ain't he cute???
I am rearin to go!
Givin the Mom the wispy ear pitcher that she loves!
And an 'if it feels good, do it' shot!
The Bleu bein the Bleu...
Me bein the Me.
Let's roll!
Objects on the right side of this pitcher may appear smaller than they are.
Just sayin.
Just sayin.
Hill Country Air is the best!
Hill Country Sticks are the best...
accordin to the Bleu!!!
We had a long and fun walk... on video. Stay tuned!!! I'm keepin my eye on the trolley and a paw on my boardin pass, on a counta I fink the time is drawin nigh!

Day 828: Trifecta Saturday Wif A Call To Action, A Video... And The Pet Blogger Hop!
A Call To Action: SEEKING FOREVER FAMILY!
Meet Abigail, a sweet one year old Dachshund mix!
This sweet girl is incredibly smart, enjoys the challenge of training and picks up commands quickly. She's feisty and playful and gets along well with other dogs... and as a lovebug, she lives to please and just be with her people!
Some of you may remember the Ben Franklin. Well, Abigail is his sister!!! She is in Foster Care with Golden Retriever Rescue of Houston. Please help me help her by spreading the word about this most deserving Sweetheart! Contact me or visit grrh.org for more information!
A Video... Or Two!
Join me and the Bleu on last Saturday's walk. I was starting to feel really poorly, so the walk is short. O... and sorry for the abrupt cut in the middle, but some times Nature just calls a boy!
Now we bring it all home wif the Take Two!
I'm happy to report that I am feelin much better this Saturday, but not quite well enough to shoot a walkin video. Gosh, I will miss it! What I won't dare miss, however, is that wonderful tradition...
The Saturday Pet Blogger Hop!
Join the fun! And for details, hop over to Life With Dogs!

Day 811: Almost Wordless Walkin Wednesday
Welcome to our first attempt at a Walkin Wednesday video. Please to excuse the Mystery Narrator's sniffly nose and my penchant for conductin businesses. I'm even caught on film... the horror!!!

Day 808: Sunday Samplin
Fanks to my hungry tummy, me and the Bleu got up early this mornin! We went outside, came inside, was served the tasty breakfast foods, went back outside, came inside, laid on the big bed wif the big lovin, went back outside, laid quietly back on big bed, went back outside, came inside...
And then we were off for a big and happy walk wif the big intentions! Unfortunately mine and the Bleu's intentions didn't exactly coincide wif the Mom's... as for some reason, she forgot to bring along the poop bags... She therefore squelched all of our best efforts to conduct the businesses!
Silly the Mom.
Here I am now wif the first tiny bit of acceptance that she is just not goin to let me stop...
We enjoy the Mission and understand that is why it is called "the walk", however I have this one overridin goal... and that is to take ever opportunity to poop as far away from home as possible.
Just sayin.

Day 703: Long Hike, Lazy Nap[s] and Happy Birfday!
[Please to indulge me in this back-post to 23 May, when I was on luxurious holiday at Campo Blanco!]
It is easy to fink this is just second full day of long vacation and no need to hurry wif the agenda, so we loll frew a lot of this day, even though I am at high attention due to the sights and smells and sounds...!

Blurry it is, I am also in action....
I am on "the cusp" of action here... call it "restrained".
All need hear is word "go"... rattle the berry treat bag... touch my leash... or have my the Mom leave the room! Any of those, and I spring into action... specially the latter.
And I am exhuberant to pawticipate in some longer hikes. I just love new ventures! The Aunt Madison wif her the Bleu and also his floofy tail are just beyond us on this particular road hike.
I catch up wif him at this pit stop and please forgive me for takin a pit stop. My the Mom is embarassed, but it is part of life. Just sayin.
I love me a good hike wif the clear blue skies and the sun what do shine and the cool winds and the most interestin scenery and also smells. It also feel real good when see Texas flag!!!
And now, closer to home... I show my 'sensitive side'. HA!
I know I got plenty of long days and good times... no need to carry on about how precious this day was but it really WAS!HAPPY BIRFDAY TO THE COUSIN / AUNT BECCA!!!

Day 86: Life In The Front Yard

Been out back on a leash... just ain't the same as free roam.
Took me a good sweet poop in a yard bout a block and a half from here. Musta made the Mom proud, cause she bagged it and brought it home!
I had my regular dinners by lantern and the Mom had a ham sammich cross the street with Uncle Oscar and Aunt Monica. She's home now and to bed as she's tard and so am I.

Day 38: A Golden Retriever's Triathlon: All In A Morning
Run: I ran the fences with my pals Sam and Beauregard (long name for a long, yet short fellow). Great fun, because I can watch Sam through the see-through fences. And I can see Bo in the crack below the wood fence. Gotta keep an eye on that short fellow though, cause he only runs half laps!
Bark: Rotty the Wilder and I had a vociferous exchange this morning. It was all in that "top of the mornin' to ya" kind of good fun. Didn't neither of us mean no harm nor alarm. Certainly didn't mean to wake up the entire planet, as the Mom suggested. I just think ole Rotty might be hard of hearin'.

Day 18: What Doin'?
The Mom and I enjoyed a nice long walk tonight. One of the things I love about our walks is that they're filled with "good boy"s, "love ya Luke"s... and songs!
My second favorite song she sings goes like this...
My second favorite song she sings goes like this...
What doin Mistah Boy, Mistah Boy, Mistah Boy...
What doin Mistah Luke, Mistah Luke, Mistah Luke...
What doin Mistah Boy, Mistah Boy, Mistah Boy...
What doin Mistah Luke, Mistah Luke, Mistah Luke...
[repeat]
(the answer... obviously... is SCRATCHIN AND CHEWIN)

Day Five: Digging Deep
"Be grateful for luck.
Pay the thunder no mind - listen for birds.
And don't hate nobody."
Eubie Blake
American Pianist and Composerof ragtime music and show tunes.
1883-1983
Sometimes the storms are so long and so loud that you have to dig deep (through the floor if necessary) to find your solace.
After all, how lucky I am... to have this Mama rush home to me at 1030am, so that I don't have to weather a storm alone... and then take me for a long walk in the storm cooled afternoon!
I'm definitely grateful for my luck today!

Day Four: An Evening Constitutional
A few surprises around here this evening:
- Mom can actually tug walking shoes on those scabby feet.
- The look on the old gal's face when she grabbed my leash and I ran straight to the door, laid down and waited patiently and still for her to secure herself to me... like she thought my sit and shake was the only thing I learned in charm school...
- She hobbles quite gingerly down the sidewalks of this shady neighborhood, but she's stubborn about directions.
- Keeps up with me for the most part... not exactly like dragging a boulder, more like a an iron prison ball.
- Sure are a lot of barking dogs in this part of town. Guess their jealous of my handsome tail.
- You can feel the stress just slipping away as you wiggle your butt down the street and pmail a wisteria bush.
- Cool water never tasted so good! Looks good dribbled all over the kitchen floor, too.
- Sleep sure comes easy after a long evening walk. zzzzzzzzzzzzz.......zzz....zzzzzz..zz
