Friday... My Favorite! And today was double my favorite on a counta we share The Traditional Friday Family Lunch wif my the Aunt Karen! How Fun!!!

It was a busy afternoon, and I mostly stayed inside wif the women folk... but I did enjoy a few swings frew the back yard!

I kept checkin the tree for activity, but there was far more excitin fings goin on INside than OUT!

Tis The Season of The Little Bed!

One of my most favorite fings about the lower than normal temperatures we've had this week... is curlin up in the little bed. And here I am, Wednesday Night [Day 902]: Souf Little Bed.

My the Aunt Karen has left the household, and I am all ready missin her! She holds a special place in my heart for SO many reasons...

Not the least of which, she take me shoppin to buy this fabulous gift for my the Mom's mmf Birfday!!!

There is no more perfect gift!

The Bleu, he has settled into the East Litttle Bed.

He's pretty cute...
Even for a brother.

The Bleu may seem innocent...

But Big Boy knows how to work it.

A BIG SECRET

The Mom is shuttin fings down round here. And as CHS (Chief Household Supervisor) I am watchin ever move. I know the secret, but my lips are sealed! After all, I'm a stand-up, loyal kind of boy!

That's not to say I'm above frowin a big pity party for the Santa, if he's readin... I mean, there might be a basket FULL of toys right there, but... 

THAT BASKET came wif the Bleu, as part of his trousseau, and so technically it and said contents, for all Santa-like purposes is not mine [mine mine]. And so I fink I might be in need and also deservin a new stuffy [or 2 or 3 or 40].  Just sayin.

 Shhhhhhh... No need to mention this to the Bleu...
Just sayin.

I love ever single day. I do. Give me an EXTRAORDINARY day like today, and I'm excited, frilled and ultimately... completely relaxed and satisfied. And as I rest my eyes, I count my blessins... and say my prayers! And I close by wishin you...

Day 785: Lucky Friday the Firteenf

Indeed this day has been just tops in most ever single way, startin wif "half day Friday" at the Factory, followed by my favoritest of traditions... the Friday shared lunch and Family Nap.

And Good Ole The Mom Nature add proverbial cherry on top wif the clear and very quiet skies!

If I may borrow expression from my bestest Siberian friends... "WOOOOOOO!!!" Just sayin.

Of course, along wif the sunny skies did come the heatitude of 100F temperature wif the 106F heat index, but in short spurts, me and the Bleu enjoyed the out of doors!

August is time when the squirrels start robbin the pecan tree and frowin unripened treasures to the ground. There is lotsa investigations to be done. And I am on top of it.

But then I remember...

Cool Airs!

And Berry Treats!!!

You may not fink I'm the most photogenic boy...

Day 729: Free Fur All Friday

O how I love a good Friday for all the traditional reasons what are [and I know I repeat myself] shared lunch from the Mytiburger, family nap, judge shows and 'Free Fur All'! MmmHmmmm...

C O N T E N T M E N T! 

Friday is my favorite afternoon of the week. Just sayin. And now for bloomin news of the week... My Texas Sage has been spottily bloomin. 

It is one of my the Mom's most favoritest on a counta the pretty magenta to purple blooms wif the soft texture of the leaves. It is ok by me, but it get a real paw up from the Bleu... Big Boy DO love to shnoof this shrub.

Crape myrtles are burstin a bit more. I will ask the Mystery Photographer [God help her] to back up and take a full shot of the Myrty. Hurricane Ike took part of her, so we did not cut her back, not even a little bit last year. And I fink she look real pretty...

Though I like to look at her most times from underneaf her... you know, where the squirrels have been! [You see part of her trunk to right in pitcher].

Now last but not least, I refer you to last Free Fur All Friday when I show you magenta bloom [arts and crafts style garden plant what I still cannot remember name of]... well, here she is today!

She is beautiful. And I need to make note to self to ask my the Mom to look it up! I would look it up myself, but I like gettin her to do fings for me when she is in the middle of doin some fing else.

And after all... the Mom need to feel needed. 


It is also therefore very good to allow her give you a tiny bit of chex mix when you are sittin so nicely right in front of her wif a big smile on your face and just a little fidgetty squirm of exudin love for the her! 


But I digress...

It's Friday. The Mom's home. And I love knowin that I got her till Monday mornin [even though she has to work... at least she will be workin from Casa De Cool Hand]!

Day 703: Long Hike, Lazy Nap[s] and Happy Birfday!

[Please to indulge me in this back-post to 23 May, when I was on luxurious holiday at Campo Blanco!]

It is easy to fink this is just second full day of long vacation and no need to hurry wif the agenda, so we loll frew a lot of this day, even though I am at high attention due to the sights and smells and sounds...!

Blurry it is, I am also in action....

I am on "the cusp" of action here... call it "restrained".

All need hear is word "go"... rattle the berry treat bag... touch my leash... or have my the Mom leave the room! Any of those, and I spring into action... specially the latter. 

And I am exhuberant to pawticipate in some longer hikes. I just love new ventures! The Aunt Madison wif her the Bleu and also his floofy tail are just beyond us on this particular road hike.

I catch up wif him at this pit stop and please forgive me for takin a pit stop. My the Mom is embarassed, but it is part of life. Just sayin.

I love me a good hike wif the clear blue skies and the sun what do shine and the cool winds and the most interestin scenery and also smells. It also feel real good when see Texas flag!!!

And now, closer to home... I show my 'sensitive side'. HA!

I know I got plenty of long days and good times... no need to carry on about how precious this day was but it really WAS!
