Day 533: Latitude: 29°45'48"N, Longitude: 95°21'48"W SNOW DAY!

*** Note/Disclaimer: This is not going to be an exciting post for all of you who get a lot of snow, but I'm in Houston, Texas... and my the Mom gets VERY excited to see a single snow flake! This post (lame as it may be) is dedicated to her... and to this historic day. You see, this is the earliest day in history that Houston has ever had more than a trace of snow... and a rarity to receive measurable amounts in back-to-back years!***

It snow real hard at the factory, but it had only started snowin just a little here when she got home and jubilantly insisted that me and also the Bleu go out in the yard for fun and photos.

It was pretty chilly outside, so I did my business quick and charged right back to the inside! (If you look closely, you can see a few flakes on my back!).

My back yard is shaded by 60 year old trees, so we didn't get a lot of accumulation... but yard behind me is full of swimmin pool and no trees, so there you can see it snowin!

And ok, here is the Bleu... I all ways say he slow, but the Mom get mad and say "not in the head, Luke... he just relax and casual and he live and love life in a different way!"... but any way, he would sit or stand or lay out there in the snow all day. Just sayin.

The Mom is persistant about wantin the Christmas Card photo, and here is the best we give her... I'm tellin you now so that when it comes in the mail, you know who the heck it from! Ain't recognizable other wise.

The Mom fink she crafty and in genius and she have treats in one hand and camera in other... and she cajole me... and this is best she can do! It sad... really it is.

Here is me lookin out on what little bit is stickin from under the big (and little) tree cover...

And then later, me and the Bleu carefully stayin in the non-snow covered section of the yard!

We don't want to mess it up... OR get our footsies cold. Just sayin.

Here I am cruisin the brick walk on the side of the house... Plants are a droopin from the snow. (Again, I know this is big yawn for most of you!!!)

It snow from about 10am until about 8pm, and it was great to just enjoy the day wif the Mom... whether we out tryin to score berry treat from her on the outside... or whether we on the inside, cheek-to-cheek, lookin at the outside! I also like it when the Mom got that special skip in her step! Just sayin.

The Bleu, he do go to bed earlier than the me... so here I am alone... lookin for pecans!

Found one! I am not too hip on lookin for them in the snow, but I am grateful that the Mom got out yesterday and raked up all the leaves and twigs and sticks... so that the snow would be prettier! Side benefit is that the pecans are all out layin here like it one big nutty convenience store!

More snow pitchers tomorrow! I know it's a yawn-fest for ALL of you readin this pitiful blog... but it's pretty excitin for all US at Latitude: 29° 45' 48 N, Longitude: 95° 21' 48 W!!!!!
I thought a SNOW DAY was when the Mom stay home wif you either on a count of the actual weather or by way and play of hooky... so imagine my surprise when my the Mom go to work this mornin full well knowin it gonna snow today!

Hi Cousins!

We didn't know what to make of it either! Our Mom was released from the rock pile early, and yes, it's always nice to have the family together on a day like last Friday.

Snow is exciting anywwhere, just ask Khyra. She's a snowaholic. So snow is NOT boring; it is fun. It's neat that your mom is like alittle kid being so giddy about snow.
