Day 424: Diatribe Redux, Silky Hairs and The MOMents

I have been cogitatin over the night and all the day today bout pitchers I want to share wif the you today... They were taken yesterday, and I save them for rainy day what I thought would be today on a counta I was told so...

And that lead me to say just this to my weatherperson audience...
as I pull excerpts from my diatribe (for another day)...

Please don't let me ever hear you wishin a tropical storm like Claudette was hittin us on a counta your memory is not so good if you do not remember T.S. Allsion. Just sayin.

And please must you be so joyous when we have huge chance of thunderstorms? I mean... it is dry, but for Dog sake and at risk of offendin environmentalist friends, just water your lawn! I know I know... farmers and crops. To that I say this... we have put man on the moon. We put Rover on Mars. We have peoples floatin round up there in the air for monfs at a time... We pipe in oil from other side of world, and natural gas from far away to close by... and we cannot come up wif way to pipe water from flooded regions to arid ones?

Oops, I accidentally launch into full blown diatribe, and I sowwy... so let me start over!

Day 424

It was beautiful day today wif the 40% chance of thunderstorms what did not happen and for that, I am grateful!

Now what follow is how I enjoy my post-baff and sunshine fill day wif 30% chance of thunderstorms what did not happen yesterday!

Day 423

Here I am surveyin my estate and ok, lookin to see what mischief the Bleu got heself into... and totally ignorin the wilted flowers in the garden (though we have ton of storm, it so scorchin hot... it not long and ever thing wilted. I know... water the garden.. but ever day they predict nother flood!)

And I move on to investigate the perimiter, keenly aware that the Mom she is followin me.
And there are distinct areas what need investigatin for reason I cannot disclose but there is one. Just sayin.

Feelin the need to do sumfin interestin for the everlovin Mom who insist on capturin my clean and silky hairs... I move on!

[It is no coincidence that "MOMENTS" begin wif the "MOM"!]

And then I pause and give photo op but secretly think... "Stop followin the me!"!

And then off a cross the yard I dart in order to not spy nor snoop but just get glimpse to see if my neighbors are outside and if they want to feel my silky hairs!

They are not, so I investigate perimeter for bread crumbs what the birds might have dropped (as this is prime region for that tasty treat).

And then suddenly, I feel urgency to photographically convey one Golden Rule:

IF GOT ITCH, MUST SCRATCH IT... NO MATTER WHETHER YOU JUST HAVE THE BAFF OR NOT!

Just sayin.

And just as I post... here come a huge roll of thunder! I'm off to the bunker to scratch!

Day 400: Fusion Friday

Again, I think this should be "Fried Chicken Friday" but the Mom have other more healthy ideas so we call it "Fusion"...

Post Bunker Photo Op

And because the Checkers comment yesterday that he want to see my head under the library table last night, I offer you this:

Day Off, No Schedule Other Than Naps

Today was good day on a counta the Mom schedule day off to tend to me after the surgery I was posed to have yesterday but did not need to have!

And after hard thunderin week, it was nice for us to just rest and nap...

And the Bleu, he take his rest and nap seriously...

I think we can all agree I am ruggedly handsome one in family but the Bleu... he got the cute sweet face! Just sayin.

Some things happened durin day what the camera did not catch but here my ear in flop mode while I enjoy hangin wif two o my favorite stuffies!

Barker Street Bakery at the Dog Show

And then also been meanin to share wif the you, a nother good part bout the Dog Show and that is treats we get from the Barker Street Bakery!

And inside good smellin box is four cookies and two peanut butter cups for me and the Bleu!

And the Bleu wif his sniffer in high gear, he circlin the photo op!!!
The the two #1 cookies is mine, on a counta they are iced wif yogurt and the Bleu, he is allergic to dairy!!!
(And apologies to the winners of my 500f post contest on a counta Barker Street say yogurt ice treats be disaster when shipped this time of year outta Houston!)
But don't go feelin too sorry for Big Boy cause he get boaf paw print cookies what he relish!

Nobody can believe that the Mom let me eat cookie on the big bed but that is where I really enjoy my special treats and the Mom thinks I was wifout specialness so long in Chapter One, she good wif me catchin up.
She say "no need to own sumfin what the Luke cannot eat cookie on"... end quote.

I go outside after yummy treat and still... I lick my lips!

GRRH's Garner On TV!

And speakin of the deservin boys, GRRH's Star Student in Trainin... the Garner... was included in a story on KHOU, Channel 11, Houston's local CBS Affliate!!! It was a story bout hurricane preparedness and featured the Pet Paradise Hobby wif their Category 3 construction!

Here is my the Mom's most favorite Golden Mix boy wif trainer Sandy... who he love!

And here is Big Boy Garner who bust frew gate and dive in bone shape pool! (Pet Paradise is WONDERFUL resort!!!)

Mario Gomez was reporter, and he is real swell fellow who we know and love on the news. He take down lots of information, and hopefully GRRH get some kind of feature story soon!

Until then... here is to hopin that Mister G find he Forever Home... REAL SOON!
You can see more photos and read more about the Garner here and here!

Zeke and Rizzi are siblins, blood brothers and have real distinct personalities and likes and dislikes.

My Cousin Rizzi loves to watch the tv. And "Bolt" is his new favorite movie!

But he also like to learn things by watchin the cable stations, and here he is watchin "Breed All About It"...

He Mama (and my the Aunt Karen) worried bout whether he need glasses on a counta he sit so close... I think personally he bout to climb up and get that other doggy!

And then there's the Zeke who know tv is just box what convert stuff floatin in air or frew wire into images what only the Rizzi can see... and SO like nuffin to miss good nap over!!!

Also... just sayin. It sad. I feel bad... and in fact, was caught lickin his bobo this afternoon...

Nights 208 and 209: American Idle

Time wif the Mom is my favorite thing and next to lazy weekends and vacation days, gotta say my favorite is idle weeknights!

And lo and behole last two nights come premiere of American Idle and in theory I like concept!

It real good to have the Mom not doing nuffin but rubbin heads and ok textin the Uncle Stevey... but my ears o how do they sometime suffer!

Ain't heard such shreakin since Fuzzy Friends
... so I get on little bed and seek comfort of the Bleu's ducky.

Don't worry. I get back on big bed for news at 9 and night sleep wif the Mom.

Recap: Idle good just need watch pitchiness.

Day 101: Mom On A Nother Mission

The Mom left early and wifout me, which did not make me happy till she returned with drink for the loud and thirsty beast, frozen waters and hot breakfastes from Kroger.

We savored our scrambled eggs and bacon and wished she had thought about butters for the biscuit... but oober small bits of it weren't so bad bone dry.

Trolled the bout one and a half paw full of channels that the new $50 rabbit pulls in and landed on stuff we could take a nap to.

Don't have a clue what's happnin in the real world of peoples that have tricity. Must be special since ever one in the nation and world seems to forgot bout Ike.

I'm new to coastal and hurricane prone territories, but I ain't new to Texas. As for my thoughts and I think the Mom's, though I don't like speakin for her cause that ain't right (ha)...

I think Texans just so dog-gone set to take care o theirselves that the media ain't findin noone beggin or whinin or allegin and it ain't no fun for em so maybe they moved on. Could be that or a corn-spiracy. Gotta have juice and news and compy to decide for sure which.

Just my opinion, and remember... I'm just a grumpy (yet very cool) golden retriever, so while it ain't likely... I could be wrong. Send your opposing emails to
goldenretrievers@wedontcarewhatpeoplesthink.com. They should get right back to you quickly as they don't get much emails.

Day 64: Goldens Rule

Ole Cool Hand is always thinkin', figurin', formulatin' and rankin'... Then I got this idea from someone special!

Someone's gotta speak out on behalf of the Great Golden Retriever mind, and I figure it might as well be me! So, here's my first Golden Rule:

FOUR PAW BELLY UP RULE FOR A PERFECT DAY:

Start with thunder and rain free Friday.

Add catching a frog at 5am... and being awake (and smart) enough to spit it out and watch it hop away.

Add a tasty breakfast. Okay, I have that everyday any way... but its a portant part of my food triangle.

Subtract Mom going to the factory for half a day.

Add back in the hamburger she brings home each Friday for us to share.

Subtract peoples calling her on the phone and other ways she's distracted (with the exception of
JDY... we both love JDY! I like that he sees things through his Maggie's eyes!)

Add back in the cool air we had blowin' before the $530 windmill bill hit the mailbox.

Subtract the yard guy workin' in the back yard, while I'm stuck in here.

Add back in a neatly groomed back yard.

Subtract the attention to my bald patooty.

And for Dog's sake, add hair back to my rear end!!!
