Day 715: Fankful Friday

I am fankful for many fings... among em are river splashes, road hikes and roughin it at Campo Blanco on the Ralph Lauren sheets and binky. I look good on em just sayin.

NOT among em is the Mom workin a full day Friday and projected 60 hour weeks frew September... I do not know how I will survive but I will try on a counta at least she can work from home nights and weekends... Sigh.


And because I do not want to fink about it... I would instead like to express long overdue gratitude for some wonderful recognition I have received!  It does so very much feel good to know that maybe you have brought a smile to someone's face, like so many of you bring to mine!

I'm just a Sweet Boy [label by the Mom] who keep a journal on the web, so I was pretty surprised to receive this correspondence...

My the Mom exchange very foughtful emails wif this very kind person... And now she explain to me why me and the Bleu don't have Dogster pages... on a counta the Comet was so active there. I explain to the Bleu that the Mom gets sad bout certain fings... but she's got me and ok, also the him to remind her what life's all a bout!


It's a bout all manner of fings what make us happy, and bloggin is a biggy! So when I receive such a special award like...the Versatile Blogger: Poems. Stories. Messages. Essays. ... I am more than honored!

1. O yeah. I'm a driven river Golden wif a passion for the water. Uh huh... kinda even surprised my own self!

5. As a rescue boy, I grow, emotionally, a tidbit each and every single day. This is Day 715... and in about last forty days or so, I have started sweepin on my back in the big bed. Total trust. Total Heaven. Givin it up. Just sayin.
6. I only pretend to be hard of hearin some times when my name is called. Shhhhhh... don't tell the Mom!
7. I love just about ever single fing there is about life, includin all my wonderful friends. I love you all!!!

Day 687: Rizzi & Zeke Birfday... And Also Free Fur All Friday!

HAPPY BIRFDAY!!!

To The Rizzi and Zeke!!!

Yep, the handsome Bishop Boys are celebratin Birfday Number Free today! And me and the Bleu [and also the Mom, just sayin] wish them the Happiest of Days!

These special boys are my good friends, my cousins and also my poker pals [shhhhhh]. They are very lucky boys on a counta my the Aunt Karen is their the Mom, and that mean that they get the kongy wif peanut butter and banana ever single day and when there are two peanut butter jars empty, they get to lick the dregs. And that is not to mention the Aunt Karen cookies... Just sayin, but I digress.

You may be familiar wif the Rizzo and Zeke, as they are quite well known as World Class Synchronized Swimmers... 

The synchronized symmetry of the turnin of their heads... is some fing to witness!

And then there is the finale... what tell the story of their special bond!

The Bishop Boys are highly decorated affletes, regulars on the podium and also pool side at The Pet Paradise... where they are pitchered here, laden wif the Gold Medals!!!

As wif every Star Afflete, it is nice to know the personal story of The Boy Behind The Medal... These boys truly need their own bloggy, on a counta they have so much to share... but for now, I will offer you one [or so] liners!

The Rizzi is an avid fan of the movin pitcher! He has much to say on the topics of Cartoons, Animal Planet, Cooking Shows and Commercials. Priceless commentary... just sayin.

The Zeke is a super swell laid back fellow who is unimpressed wif the movin pitcher! He is more about feelin the sun shine, shnoofin the season's smells and enjoyin a good nap... on a counta he is content wif life!!!

On behalf of my brother the Bleu and also my the Mom, We wish them the happiest of the birfdays... and we cannot wait to celebrate together! How about Memorial Day weekend in the Hill Country?!!!  [:::twistin the Aunt Karen's arm:::]

Now on a still fun yet more mundane note, I give you... Free Fur All Friday!

As you know, I spent most of the past 8 days in a t-shirt to ensure I did not snag my stitches. For record, I do not mind wearin the t-shirt, but I am not so crazy wif the puttin it on, followed closely by the takin it off.

That said, I DO prefer to be naked. It is who I am. I love the nakedness and also the slippers. I fink it is called... "awww natch your owl" but I am not sure why...

Boaf planned and unplanned landscapin is makin a comeback! Our yard sure need the help of somebody who know what to do wif it! Just sayin.

We are also watchin our Night Bloomin Cereus, given to us by The Herd. I do not fink this is the night, but it won't be long...

And speakin of the blooms, we have the tiny ones on our Texas Sage shrub. I love it on a counta the soft texture of the leaves!

And you know the Mom wif her "special" photographic skills... she try nother settin on camera and come up wif this. It look like the night time, but I guess it sharper. Sigh.

And to add scale figure, and also prove it our yard... I offer you the Bleu! 

And speakin of the Big Boy, the Bleu may look calm and slow and stagnant most times in pitchers... but he is also FULL O THE ZOOMIES!!!

 I enjoy my own zoomies, but the Bleu shut em down quick when he enter in... on a counta he is HUGE and our back yard is NOT! First time he frow me a block, I head for the back door... "let me in"! 

OK, THERE... I said it. The Bleu some time scare me... not a lot, just a little. 

But mostly we do share the back yard, the related shnoofins, the Mom's photo ops... yep, the Good Times!

And just one more very special fing... You guys know me. I am not a big winner of awards. I am not! 

So when I am presented one... I truly get choked up. I am honored. I hope I deserve it!

I pinch myself and rub my eyes and hope this is real... but my dear friends The Houston Pittie Pack, honor me [and also the Bleu] wif the Beautiful Blogger Award!!!

Wow!!!... What a day! What a week! Bring on the weekend!!!

Day 651: Global Animal Blogging Event

Hello. I am the Luke. And this is Day 651 of my Second Life. (No April Fool joke here, this is all the troof!).

I am The Very Big Cheese in my Forever Family (also comprised of my the Mom and my adopted brother, the Bleu) and I have a LOT to say bout a LOT of fings! Mostly though... I just live life wif the gusto! I am happy and excited bout life! Little fings are as fun for me as the big fings!

One most wonderful fing bout my blogger friends... is how many more wonderful friends I make ever single day. And one friend I have come to know in past few days is the ever-so-cutey Twinkie!

And she has organized the First Annual Global Animal Blogging Event... as a way for all of us... readers and writers... to make new friends all round the world!


Me and the Bleu will be participatin in this special event  which takes place April 1 - April 18. And here's the best part... TEU (2) very special prizes (please see Prize Update below!!!) will be awarded!

Day 319: Award??? Who... The Me???

Ever body what know me know I blog on a counta I have much time to make up for and lots to say on a counta before my second and new life... never beed in of doors, much less had compy and freedom of type on the keyboard!

So... I truly honored and humbled when my friend, the Checkers surprise me wif this awesome a ward!

A cordin to what I understand is tradition, I now tell you seven of my favorite things and this gonna have to be kinda stream of conscience thing on a counta it hard to break down magnitudinous multitude of things what are my favorite!!!

And that be on a counta you can sum up but million favorite things wif just just four words: MY NEW AND SECOND LIFE!

But in spirit of tradition, and in no particular order, here go (and I decide not write dissertation on a counta I could write forever bout my favorite things!)...

1. THE MOM. Just not one single thing better in life than the lovin Mom and lovin the Mom.

2. MY BROTHER BLEU. On a counta he the well mannered go-long-get-long Bleu... and he let me be boss of him (not really but I like thinkin so). He ornery but I love him.

3. GRRH what is my extended family!!! That short for Golden Retriever Rescue of Houston for those who think my second favorite thing is growl!

4. HOME. Nuffin better than havin the forever one what is sweet gig like mine!!! Just sayin. Like venturin out to occasional play date, Mr T Day Spa, Golden reunion or just a spin in the car... but big sigh of contentment when I get back to the here!

5. COMFORTS. And by that I mean soft toys what I love to suck and multitude of beds what I got pick from... o and also I love head rub and ok don't tell nobody... I love to push self real close to the Mom when she sleep, but shhhhhh... It not be fittin my tough boy image.

6. FOODS! Two times my favorites ever day and those beed breakfasts and dinners! Snacks in only thing get me from one to other. I love the GRRH cookies what the Mom makes most... but my favorite store bought include Buddies Molasses Madnesses, California Natural Lamb & Rice Healf Bars and my latest favorite... Nutro Crunchy Treats wif real berries!!!

7. OLD AND NEW FRIENDS!!! And I can't thank the YOU enough for all your outporin of the love and support and the kind words and couragement. You gots no idea how special you make my life!

And now come hard part and that is narrow down to seven new recipients of this award... as I love so many blogs and hate leave anybody out... and so I spin the Bleu round and round bout seven times and let him point to list!
