Day 513: Herd Sat At The Mister T Day Spa & Hill Country Resort

This is my Cousin Dakota. He likes carryin fings in his mouf. He is gentle wif he stuff but he does like to carry em!

My the Mom and Aunt Madison went into town for some shoppin and such, so we were herd sat by Mister T, who is well knowed for his Golden pamperin and day spas. Just sayin.

As you well know, we Goldens love the pamperin, so we kinda swarm him sayin "me first me first"... so allow me to introduce and identify who you see below!

Far left is the Cousin Buddy! Then the Dakota (of course) has the shoe, and Cousin Dylan is behind him... Cousin Cain is sprawled out on floors, and the Bleu (green collar) is politely waitin in line to the right... and of course, yours truly has my back turned to the camera. (You can see healin spot on back from surgery... My hairs are growin back nicely!!!).

And below, the Bleu has gone in for some attention... NOW! And this might be a good time to tell you... that boy is sowin he oats this weekend... he is doin very uncharacteristic fings! Uncle Tom say it the fresh Hill Country air... I not sure, but I kinda like the Bleu bein in the trouble wif the Mom... in the stead of me!

The crowd fin out some and I move in for some good brushins... And that is Cousin Cain wif he back turned to camera.

And now it the Birfday Boy turn! Look on he face say "ahhhh yeahhhh!"! That is the Cain comin round corner and the Dylan walkin behind Mister T (my Uncle Tom!)...

There are no pitchers... no exhibits... no calls to 911... i.e. no way to exactly prove how it happen... but Mister T managed to trim my slippers today!

Dam. Mister T Good!

Day 59: Random Thoughts

Things I THINK I love:
  1. Trips to Galveston.
  2. Walks on the beach.
  3. Board Meetings.

Things I KNOW I love:

  1. Oodles of loving. (Mom's guilt ROCKS!).
  2. Bacon and eggs.
  3. Aunt Susan's "treats".
  4. Muncho chasers.
  5. Squirrel chasings.
  6. Brushings.
  7. Mid-Afternoon Stories.

Things I DON'T Like So Much:

  1. Chores. Especially of the Dyson nature.
  2. Moonlight work (Mom's), though I'm grateful for the benefits.
  3. The storm defender cape. I've personally sent mixed messages as to whether it works. But do I like wearing it? Not so much, but I've also got a gargantuan bo-bo on my butt!
  4. Windmills... and warm temperatures on both sides of the door. (Windmill people presented Mom with a bill for $531! Not much market for a PPV dog blog, past my prime for centerfolds, and I ain't deliverin' newspapers, so...)

Things I HAVE TO Get Used To:

  1. Mom's thrill (not) over windmill bills.
  2. Warm temperatures on both sides of the door.

Things I HATE With A Passion:

  1. STORMS.
  2. THUNDER.
  3. IMPENDING MONDAYS.

Day 31: A Typical Sunday In the Life of a Happy Golden Retriever

  1. Exchanged Anniversary greetings.
  2. Enjoyed tasty two part breakfast (cause someone around here thinks I eat too fast) and good quality time in the back yard.
  3. Danced for joy at the opportunity for a car ride!
  4. Can you believe that people would just willingly pass their tasty breakfast foods to you... while you wait right there in the car???! I gotta learn to drive!
  5. Bacon is good!
  6. Interrupted good poop to chase a squirrel out of the yard.
  7. Sadly turned down fun play date with Aunt Dav because Mom had to do chores.
  8. Sat by the door and watched Mom go in and out with alternate loads of dirty and clean clothes. She likes to think she's teaching me not to bolt through a door, and I humor her... but secretly, I'm thinking... that's one chore I never want to learn to do!
  9. Took what Mom calls a half bath, or a cheater's bath. Rub me on one side... I'll roll over for my belly, and then the other side! Can't help but follow up with a bit of grass cologne!
  10. Went a few more rounds with 'Dyson'. My tactic? Enter the room behind him... that way you you're never cornered.
  11. Sprinkler system sounds suspiciously like a storm. BUNKER!
  12. Some celebrate anniversaries with cake. I celebrated with the YUMMIEST of cookies!
  13. I've come to judge a day by the way it ends... and this one ended with perfectly, with a long walk through the neighborhood... and a bedtime story whispered in my ear.

Day Minus One: Trees, Squirrels & Tangles

Inspired by a new discovery, and while Aunt Melinda has her back turned ever so briefly, I thought I would quickly tell you about a new interest of mine.

You see, how it came about was that this butt plopping woman in PetsMart yesterday... she whispered in my ear something about a yard full of squirrels... like it was a good thing!

That being on my mind and all, I began to kind of take notice around here... and you know, it IS kind of fun to chase those boogers. They run right up the tree... and you know, maybe, if I put my mind to it, so can I!

Oops! Gotta go! Aunt Melinda's obsessed with a tangle in my hind side. Gotta run, sit and/or lie down. She doesn't understand that it's CLEANLINESS that's next to Godliness... not GROOMlienss! Don't matter now, she's an Aunt on a mission!
