Day 744: One More Day Of The Hurricane Alex

You know that wise ole sayin, "If you don't have any fing good to say, say nuffin at all", well for that reason, I will be keepin some of my foughts to myself, and this is why...

Last we spoke on Day 743, I was minutes short of what I call my "chalk outline" position:

Fings remained calm for the rest of the evenin and up until about 330am, when I hop on the big bed to ask the Mom... "Do you feel that?". I am not sure of her answer on a counta it was just like the sweet nuffins of love talk, along wif some chin rubbins... but at 350am when the bottom dropped out of the storm clouds and the funder began to rumble... she knew I had not hopped on big bed for bed time story.

I quickly headed to the bunker for some whistlin and scratchin, and the Mom hopped up, turned the lights on [sorry, the Bleu!] and turned on the funeral music. At 6am, I decided the freat was over, and I was adamant about bein served the breakfast foods [work up quite a appetite when havin a nervous breakdown]!

We had a decent and relaxed, albeit tired feelin mornin until the funder did begin again round noon... It was not pretty. It breaks my the Mom's heart not to be able to comfort me, but the good news is that it is eventually over... And here are some images from the rest of the day:

Outta the bunker, but still nervous and pacin. I need to keep tabs on my the Mom!

If I look happy to you, it's on a counta we are havin a lengfy break in the funders... Unfortunately, I'm still pacin and pantin, and I know it's not completely over just yet.
Finally the storms have passed us, and me and the Bleu get to shnoof our tall grasses!

The Bleu shnoof some fing real interestin right here.

And I have found some fing shnoofy right about here!
And though this pitcher is a little blurry, I include it on a counta I am smilin... as I compose the blog post!

Pawnotes:

Day 627: Stormin Springin Monday... and Funny Bleu Stuff

Wif the spring come the storm... and I hate it, most specially on a Monday!

I make sure the Mom anchor herself at home durin worst... and leave me wif the funeral music for the 'just in case'.

On bright side, I share wif you little bit bout my relationship wif the Bleu... Big Boy standin in the doorway, and I pass him on the narrow (squeezin confrontational) side...
To circle round and get the round piggy!
But the big news is that spring weather is here, and the Mom is to adjust her modus operandi as well as her work schedule... accordin to the incomin storms!

Day 303: How Spent Day

In jammies wif the wild eyes... and either pacin, under the Mom foot or in bunker.

I exhausted now and just can't wait to go to and hog big bed like did last night!

Just sayin.

Day 303: Bad Day, Very Bad Day

Most my days so good need nip myself make sure I not dreamin, but this one... not of those.

In the stead of radar snapshot I offer you photo what the Mom took few hours ago... (When get over shock of flood, it funny to note latest collection of Bleu sticks on table!)

As you see, this not good time to go out and do business but that not issue on a counta I in bunker wif nervous breakdown!

And the Bleu in middle of mid-afternoon snooze so he not concerned.

Risin waters to bout half way up "oh my dog" door mat and getting close to bein in house wif us... (the Mom got nice toe... no?)

And then out front river run frew it! Did this yesterday too and saw it wif my own eyes... but o-heck-to-the-no today... I not leave bunker to look at nuffin!

Just sayin.

Day 297: Easter Is Special, But This Morning Loud!

Woke up wif hopes this day would be good and happy day, but it cloudy and gloomy and my instinct tole me keep paff to bunker clear. And I spend mornin alternately venturin ever so tentatively to the out of doors... and nervously suckin on toy...

Then the Mom put me in my jammies... and lo and behole, rumble rumble RUMBLE boom boom BOOM. And even GRRH cookies won't get me out of baffroom now!

(Hope Easter Bunny in bunker of he own!)

Day 279: Love the Jammies!

I love my new jammy what the Aunt Karen make me... but not sure why the Mom hustle me into them as bad weather close in!

Scratch just once in bafroom... but so comfy in my jammy, feel safe settlin in for good night sweep right here on bafroom floor (till the Mom wake me up for some shmugglin...)!

Day 63: Random Thoughts

Now that I'm out of my cape, I was pondering...

  1. Thought I would be happy to have Mom home, but she brought hell-a-shus thunder with her.

  2. Never played dress-up before. Kinda fun, but why must we do it when a storm approaches?

  3. Playing superhero in the bathroom is distracting to my fear.

  4. Pretty crafty of Mom to lure me out of my hiding place with treats. Guess I love treats more than I am afeared of storms.

  5. I'll bet I wouldn't have to poop in a swamp if I still lived with Aunt Melinda.

  6. Bet the sun is still shining at her place, too.

  7. Note to self: Check trolley schedule.

P.S. That snot snot all mine. And don't make the mistake I did by suggesting Mom clean the glass... Nobody taught me how to comfort a crying Mama.

Day 59: Random Thoughts

Things I THINK I love:
  1. Trips to Galveston.
  2. Walks on the beach.
  3. Board Meetings.

Things I KNOW I love:

  1. Oodles of loving. (Mom's guilt ROCKS!).
  2. Bacon and eggs.
  3. Aunt Susan's "treats".
  4. Muncho chasers.
  5. Squirrel chasings.
  6. Brushings.
  7. Mid-Afternoon Stories.

Things I DON'T Like So Much:

  1. Chores. Especially of the Dyson nature.
  2. Moonlight work (Mom's), though I'm grateful for the benefits.
  3. The storm defender cape. I've personally sent mixed messages as to whether it works. But do I like wearing it? Not so much, but I've also got a gargantuan bo-bo on my butt!
  4. Windmills... and warm temperatures on both sides of the door. (Windmill people presented Mom with a bill for $531! Not much market for a PPV dog blog, past my prime for centerfolds, and I ain't deliverin' newspapers, so...)

Things I HAVE TO Get Used To:

  1. Mom's thrill (not) over windmill bills.
  2. Warm temperatures on both sides of the door.

Things I HATE With A Passion:

  1. STORMS.
  2. THUNDER.
  3. IMPENDING MONDAYS.
