Day 450: Finkin and Memberin

I was just finkin bout one year ago tonight when right about now, me and the Mom (before the Bleu) we were locked up tight inside of boarded up windows and also doors.... We went to bed like regular but wif the tv on. And then long bout midnight, the sounds from the outside they did begin to get louder, makin the tv just bit hard to hear. Bout that time, the Mom exit big bed and take up recline on pallet number one, right next to me at foot of big bed.

That not last very long, however, as we lost our tricity soon... and so we then move to pallet number two in Big Bunker where the Mom had judiciously prepared pills, pill pockets, snacks, waters, radios, battery operated tv.. and chocolate! She not ordinarily roused by the chocolate... but terror bring cravin forf for fings what ordinary circumstances do not...
I was still not sure what all of the hullaballoo was bout on a counta I never have heard of hurricane before, let alone one go by name of Ike.
And I bit scared on a counta Ike wif the one big eye... he do look mad!
I did not know many of the you last year at this most hellacious (I need ask the Mom if sweet boy can use that word) time, but I invite you to read bout my venture frew Hurricane Ike!!! So please to leave your comments if you happen by! I will be happy to read them!

Of course, I had no tricity, so I kept diary and paw wrote letters on yellow pad at night by flashlight... My the Mom took pitchers of each and I posted them once we finally got the tricity back.

If you have time, you might enjoy goin along wif my adventure. It is bout 50 percent poor me and 50 percent funny... NOW! But please be sure to scroll down and read up in chronological order!!! It way funnier if you read from September 1 to September 30!!! Just sayin!

We are going to add this to our reading list - we would love to read about that month. We heard today that we are just past the peak of hurricane season. We hope it continues to be a good one for all.

We're on our way to read, sweet Luke. Living up here just a mile from Canada we don't have those big eyes skeering us but we do get big snows and our momma has to sometimes go to the store and buy all of the stuff we might need for days and days cuz we might be inside the house for a long time. Once, before we were borned, it snowed over five feets in just under a day! The National Guard had to help our town truck the snow into the farmers' fields for dumping. That must have been so cool!

We don't remember it, but our humans went through Hugo and he was no fun either. You would think those HurryCanes would go away quickly if they are such a hurry.

I have never been through anything that scary. I am so glad you are all ok. I can't imagine how it must have been.
