Day 866: Storms, Squirrels And A Little Some Fing For The Ladies

When last I left you, I was in the bunker... and for good reason.

We had a horrific night of the funder and storms and very loud rain and wind. It has been a while since we have suffered such an event, but neither me nor the Mom have forgotten 'the drill'... and we ran frew it repeatedly from about midnight to about 6am.

I will spare you the details, but I will say... The funeral music was on "repeat", and there was no cocktail in my belly.

You see, even though my doctors said I could have one... my the Mom was reluctant on a counta my Aunt Isphesia and also the vaccine. I fink in total, we got about an hour and a half of sleep... well, until the Mom went to work! Then me and the Bleu made up for lost time!
It has been a dreary day wif the high rain chances, but it has not rained. I am not fearful of the conditions, but I am not frilled wif them either.
Bad news is we have big rain chances tonight and tomorrow, too. Peoples say we are in a drought and need the rain. I guess they're right, but I prefer not to hear my weather. Just sayin
What's kinda fun is that there have been squirrels lined up in the sills of my clerestory windows. You see, we have deep overhangs, and my sills are a favorite place of theirs... to ride out storms.
This mornin, I chased one from the sill to the fence to the roof. And now ever time I go outside, I make sure they're not still there!
And the Mom keeps callin me back to the patio on a counta for some reason, she gets a little nervous when I sniff the gate and try to climb the fence and wall. Silly the Mom...
Of course, it's hard to keep your mind on squirrel when your belly is empty... so I'm HAPPY to head back in to try to convince Ole Gal that it's DINNER TIME!
At first, she didn't buy it... so I followed her around. I kept just inches away from her, even penned her into some dead ends a few times... until suddenly she was enlightened! Dinner Time!!!
It's amazin how docile I feel once I've got a little grub in my belly. And now, speakin of...

Here's a little some fing for the ladies!!!

Uh huh... Yeah...
Showin off a little of a shaved belly [from my tests],
and I just almost need to borrow Nigel's black bar!

And of course, the Mom can't resist the sweet face,
on a counta she is the Mom...

You can see that my wonderful caretakers at Sugar Land tried very hard to maintain my vanity, and I fink they did an amazin job. My furs are already growin back, and I fink as long as they can see their markins, I will not be shaved again. [Of course, I would never want my vanity to compromise their work! But I do appreciate their attentiveness to my handsomeness. Just sayin.]
It's dark. It's dreary. And the Mom got about two hours of sleep last night. For some reason, I fink I might have a low key evenin of horizontality ahead of me. I'll do my best to oblige...

Hi Luke!

It has rained all day here too. We are very tired of it and want it to stop. Every time it rains our back yard floods and it is a giant mud pit. For some reason our mom doesn't like us sprinting around in it. Something about dirty white fur and paws prints on the carpets. We say, get over it ;)

Hope the rains end soon. Until then we hope at least the thunder stops for you.

Lots of Luv & Kisses
Addie, Lucie and Hailey

A little rain is okay, gives you a chance to curl up in bed and watch tv.

We gots the rain here, too. We isn't 'fraid of is - not too much - but momma says that it makes her kitchen floor a mess when we come inside, even if we do dance a little on the back rug.
